Hello. Charmaine called and asked me to read her the ting xie words. I wish my Chinese was better so that I know how to read the words. ):

WARNING : LONG NONSENSE AND BLABBERING AHEAD.

*Enters living room to find that my brother was listening to music.*
Me : What is the title of this song? (actually it's not song, just music)
Brother : Uh.. don't know.
Me : I think it's from Romantic period! :D
Brother : How you know?
Me : It's waltz mah..
Brother : So? It's from the 1800s.
Me : Correct lah. Either from Romantic period or Classical period. Who's the composer?
Brother : *blabbers on about some composer I don't know*
Me : Aiya, I don't know who's that. But I think it's from Romantic period anyway. Romantic period composers usually take the full control of their music, hence they will 'instruct' the player to play it the way they want. And music pieces from Romantic period is more expressive, unlike those from Baroque and Classical period. Get it?
Brother : Whatever lah.

Heh. It's nice to be more knowledgeable than your older sibling in a way. :D
