this is what i have to say/graduation script part 1

This Thursday, 13 November 2008, will be that day of the year, again. The day which we will bade farewell to peers and teachers, to welcome the holidays. However, this year will be a little different. Not only do we have to say goodbye to our class, we will also be leaving our school and prepare for a whole new environment next year. Yes, we'll be in a new school the following year, after 6 years in nanyang. I still remember I was only six going to seven when I first stepped into nanyang (old campus). I was actually startled by the size of the school. Deep inside, I was worried that I would get lost in the campus. Compared to my kindergarten, nanyang was gargantuan. For my first recess, I had either chicken rice or some kind of noodles. Oh gosh, I can't remember my first form teacher. :/ When I was in 1F, I sat for my first exam. I finally passed my spelling, I was appointed the group leader and monitor(i think), I got chided by my teacher because I sort of bullied the boy sitting beside me. hehs. When I was in 2F, I was appointed the discipline monitor. I scored my first 70+ for exam, I went out with my friends for the first time, I got scolded like shit 'cause I forgot to bring my spelling book many many times. And that time I was also scolded 'cause I was chatting with my friends. -grins- When I was in 3I, I had so much fun ganging up against her with Belle and Ashley. ^^ & that year, I had to sit next to Ren Jie, Brent and Jia Hao for different time of the year. And goshh, they were really annoying. But sometimes there were l0l moments. :D (zomg i can't believe i still remember them) When I was in 4E, for the first time I realised how wonderful it was to have super close best friends. I scored my first 60+ for exam(thank goodness it was the first and last), I started to cheat with my friends during spelling and tests, I started to pass notes, I learnt how to play games with my besties while appearing to pay attention.That year my best friends and I created this book, the Blitz. We created this game, the Blitz. We drew and pretended to be fashion designers, and the Blitz was this 'clique' which we were part of. We had loads of fun designing, writing and giving one another ideas. That year was one of the best. ;) The year when I was in 5I passed very quickly. It wasn't very pleasant and I can't remember much, so I won't elaborate further. The last year, the year I was in 6I. I'm going to leave this part for part 2. This is sorta like the part 1. I'm still the same person named Tan Xin Yi, the same girl. Just that I've changed, I'm proud to say that I've become more mature, more rebellious and more knowledgeable. Right now, my dreams are bigger (don't think sick) and I'll do whatever I can so that they will come true. 1 school, 2 best years, 3 years of teasing, 4 different classes with many different classmates, 5 different subjects, 6 years of school. They are part of my memories, it won't be easy to erase them. & I don't want to forget. If only holding on can be a choice. If only the concept of time can be grasped easily. If only. i won't be crying and sobbing because it's time to let go. instead, I'll smile and think about how fortunate i am. how fortunate that I've come to the right primary school. although i made the wrong decision at times, at the end of the day everything just fall nicely. yes, there isn't enough picture to describe my whole primary school life. but there's enough to remind me all the fun i had, to remind me how lucky i am, to remind me that i shouldn't take things for granted. to remind me of all my friends. & finally, to remind me of the fabulous school i went to. Nanyang Primary School. On 14 November 2008, it'll be the day we graduate. It'll also be the day which I am still part of nanyang. <3 |
