"- , I just want you to know you're suffocating me. If you don't even understand me, then just give me some space. I want my freedom, I want to make my own choices. If you even have to interfere with my preference of music, why don't you go and study instead. If you continue to invade my privacy, I swear one day I'll snap.And someday, I'll even forget the reason I'm working so hard. Is it so that you can show off to your friends, so that people will cast those eyes full of envy on you. Or is it for my own self. & you'll have to stop scaring me with those stories of being the cleaner, beggar or whatsoever. I'm thirteen, not three. I do know that graduating from a branded school doesn't guarantee a high-paying job. And even if I don't graduate from a branded school doesn't mean I won't succeed in life. And when I shut up every time you mention that I can go transfer school/drop out from school/go work, it doesn't mean that I'm scared. It's because I don't want my efforts to go wasted. I spent 4 months adapting to Nanyang and you want me to quit? If you think I'm such a lousy girl who hasn't adapt to Nanyang after 4 months, please reflect on the way you're thinking. In fact, I'm enjoying myself right. Mind you, I managed to pass History and Physics. In fact, I was the top few. (Not to boast or anything) The way you're thinking is so old-fashion, just like you. There's nothing wrong with my attitude. The way you look at me, it disgusts me. There's really something wrong the way you treat me. My dear, isn't it time to change. Society has moved on, by the way." |
